TLIF0014 Monitor the safety of transport activities
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to monitor the safety of transport activities.
It includes determining and monitoring chain of responsibility features in the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) or applicable state/territory law and regulations. It also involves administering and monitoring chain of responsibility workplace policies and procedures, and identifying and reporting chain of responsibility risks.
Elements within the program include:
- Determine chain of responsibility features in the HVNL or applicable state / territory law and regulations
- Monitor chain of responsibility obligations in the HVNL or applicable state / territory law and regulations
- Administer and monitor chain of responsibility workplace policies and procedures
- Undertake due diligence activities
Who is this program designed for?
This course is designed for managers and executives who may not operate or own heavy vehicles directly, however may be apart of the supply chain and as such have responsibilities under CoR to ensure a safe workplace and maintain compliance with the HVNL.
Location
All training will be delivered at Shift Training's head office – 26 - 30 Quilton Place, Crestmead 4132.
Entry Requirements
- Level 3 language, literacy and numeracy skills
Support and Mentoring Services
We are committed to helping you achieve your study goals and we don't leave you alone when you finish your study – all students will have access to the trainers throughout the program and after completion of the course as a contact point for any technical or process support in developing competencies.
Each student will be screened in terms of their literacy and numeracy levels coming into the program and will be supported in those areas according to their individual needs. If you feel that you may require additional support, please let us know when booking. Where we cannot provide sufficient support, students will be referred to a suitable TAFE program to develop their reading and writing skills.
