The TLI41225 Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training – Heavy Vehicle Specialisation gives experienced heavy vehicle drivers the skills and knowledge to plan, deliver and assess professional heavy vehicle driver training.

You'll learn how to train heavy vehicle drivers safely and professionally, structure training sessions, communicate effectively with different learners, identify and correct driving errors, develop low-risk heavy vehicle driving behaviours, and assess driver performance.

Before You Enrol

To get the most from this course, students should:

  • Hold a current, unrestricted Australian driver licence for the relevant vehicle class
  • Have suitable driving experience
  • Complete Shift Training's Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment
  • Have basic computer and internet skills for the online components
  • Be able to safely participate in practical driver training activities
