A much more comprehensive practical program designed to prepare a newly licensed driver for the workplace.

• Session 1 – Vehicle Inspection & Workplace Safety – 4 hrs
  Full pre-start inspection, identifying defects, tyres/wheels, vehicle systems, defect reporting, safe access and workplace procedures.

• Session 2 – Load Restraint & Loading – 4 hrs
  Practical use of straps, chains and other restraints, load placement, restraint selection, securing loads, curtains, loading/unloading and tailgate lifter operation.

• Session 3 – Fatigue & Heavy Vehicle Compliance – 4 hrs
  Fatigue management, work/rest requirements, work diary/logbook, Chain of Responsibility, driver responsibilities, mass and dimension basics and roadside compliance.

• Session 4 – Professional Driver Skills – 4 hrs
  Tailgate operation and curtains, reversing/yard safety, route and trip planning, breakdown/emergency procedures, workplace communication and what transport employers expect from a professional driver.
