Fatigue is one of the leading causes or contributing factors to heavy vehicle accidents in Australia. Under legislation, organisations and their employees must take steps to identify fatigue risks and manage them effectively.

The course provides essential compliance information to all parties in the transport chain regarding their responsibility in managing fatigue.

Fatigue management strategies including tips on lifestyle choices and choices whilst being on the road, are discussed and applied to real life situations during the course. Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) scheme work/rest hours are applied to workplace situations.

As a professional driver you need to know about Chain of Responsibility legislation. The laws are deigned to make people responsible if their actions, inactions or demands contribute to a road safety breach.

By doing this course, you will learn what responsibilities you have to road safety and how you can avoid causing or contributing to a breach and being held responsible under Chain of Responsibility.

Both these courses are Nationally Recognised and provide students with the skills and knowledge to:

  • Identify the hazards of fatigue and its symptoms
  • Take actions and apply strategies to minimise the affect of fatigue
  • Understanding COR responsibilities and legislations
